Teaching

I believe that good acting is comprised of two main methods: active listening and believing in your own truth.

My lessons aim to help students grasp these methods to unlock their full potential as speakers and performers.

From our initial free consultation, we will work together in defining the areas where you seek to improve before we follow up with a 30-90 minute lesson tailored to your needs.

In my 5 years of teaching, I've worked with an array of people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds - everyone is welcome.

In-person lessons out with Glasgow can be arranged at a minimum of 2 hours per lesson.

Private lessons are £30 per hour in person or over Zoom

Beginners Acting

This class brings people together to learn from different acting games/activities.

You will begin to explore the basics of Stagecraft (movement, voice, devising) as well as start to connect with others through the use of my own simple method - The Push-Pull Dynamic.

This 9-week course culminates with an in-class presentation of short scenes, partly devised by students.

Lessons are 60 minutes and perfect for anyone who wishes to dip their toe into acting as well as for those with previous experience looking for a new community.

Intermediate Acting

Helps more confident performers begin to refine and advance their skills.

Here, you will develop your understanding of vocal control, devising through movement as well as textual analysis.

This 15-week course culminates in a Class Sharing of short scenes from classic and contemporary plays, attended by an audience.

Lessons are 90 minutes and are built for acting enthusiasts who wish to push themselves to learn new techniques and gain the experience necessary to attend the Advanced Acting Class.

Advanced Acting

For more experienced actors looking to expand their practice, acquire advice for auditions, and gain the chance to perform in an hour-long showcase.

Over the course of 15 weeks, you will learn to utilise key acting techniques like Actioning and Following Impulse before auditioning for roles within an in-house production.
Rehearsals will then span between 5-7 weeks where actors will be guided as if through a professional rehearsal process.
Lessons are 2 hours each and cater to those who have developed themselves through our Intermediate course and look to attend Drama School or a career within the arts.

Public Speaking

A course that uses acting principles to help improve confidence, refine people skills and develop new understanding in areas like breath control and script writing.

Fulfilling to those who have a specific presentation that they wish to prepare for, as well as for those who simply want to become accustomed to being heard.

The course consists of hour-long lessons and ongoing homework tasks, culminating in an accessed final presentation.
